How did you meet?

Through a mutual friend (shoutout Ariel). A last minute dinner invite turned into not a day going by without talking  

Who made the first move?

Ummmm, there was a mutual spark. We’ll go with that.

What first attracted you to each other?

Melissa - I was attracted to Ben’s honesty and patience. He has the patience of a saint which makes up for the lack of mine. 

Ben -  Melissa is the perfect amount of sassy and sweet. She was easy to talk to and we had a lot in common  

What is your favorite memory with each other?

Melissa - Ben had the amazing idea of driving to Toronto instead of flying. We were in the car for almost 12 hours but the man did not drive me nuts. We listened to podcasts and music and I realized how much I love spending time with my person

Ben - The first summer we were dating we spent a day at Second Beach then went to Newport Vinyards and ended the day at Diego’s and Rejects Brewery and it was the perfect day. I knew I had met my person.

What is your favorite way of spending time together?

Melissa- Ben is an amazing cook. I love when he makes some yummy food and we just relax at home on the couch watching some good tv or a movie. 

Ben - Going to concerts together or shopping. Going out trying new restaurants or coffee shops.

How did you get engaged?

Ben asked me out for dinner but wouldn’t tell me where we were going but I had to dress nice. When I got to the house he told me how beautiful I looked but I was missing something. He brought out the ring and my response was “You’re really doing this right now”. I wasn’t expecting it at all. 

Why did you decide on a destination wedding?

We want to go on a vacation with some of our favorite people and have a relaxed fun vibe. We love warm weather, margaritas & the beach, so destination wedding seemed the only way to go.
